Getting started

Getting started

Your first hour, in the order that avoids waiting on warm-up twice.

Where this lives. Sign in and open /onboarding in the app.

What it does

Onboarding is the guided first-run checklist that takes a new workspace from empty to sending its first campaign. Every step is checked against what your workspace actually has, not against a box you ticked, so you can leave and come back anytime and it still shows the real state. The page header reads "Welcome, [your first name]. Let's get you sending." with a progress bar showing steps completed out of the total, and a Skip to the Command Center link if you would rather explore on your own first.

Before you start

  • You need a confirmed account and to be signed in. If you are not yet a member of any workspace, either because nobody invited you or because you were removed from one, the app shows "You're not in a workspace right now" with a Create my own workspace button. Clicking it creates a workspace and takes you straight to Onboarding.
  • Until you click the confirmation link from your signup email, a banner stays on every page of the app, and campaign launches, dedicated servers, and domain purchases stay locked.

Set it up, step by step

  1. Sign in. If you already belong to a workspace, you land inside it; if not, click Create my own workspace on the screen that appears.
  2. On the Onboarding page, complete Confirm your email address first if you have not already. Click Resend the link if the original signup email did not arrive.
  3. For Choose how you want your sending infrastructure, pick one of two cards: Build it for me (Autopilot), which buys domains, creates mailboxes, writes DNS, and warms everything up behind one approval, or Bring what I already have, which connects mailboxes and domains you already own. Clicking a card reveals a link, Size and approve a build → or Connect a mailbox →. You can mix both later; this choice only decides what the app points you at first.
  4. Work through the remaining five steps in any order, each with an Open button, or a highlighted Do this next button on whichever the app considers your logical next step: Connect a mailbox, Add a sending domain, Warm up your mailboxes, Import your leads, and Launch your first campaign. Each turns into a checked, greyed-out done row automatically once your workspace has the thing it asks for.
  5. To look around before committing real data, click Load sample data above the checklist. It adds a dozen sample leads and a draft three-step campaign, all on addresses that can never receive mail. Click Remove sample data later to take it back out.
  6. Once every step is done, a final card reads "Setup complete — you are sending," pointing you to the Inbox, Deliverability, and Help & Support.

Inviting a teammate

A workspace is the container everything else belongs to: domains, mailboxes, leads, campaigns, billing, and members are all scoped to it. Most people work inside one workspace, though the app does support belonging to more than one.

To bring a teammate in, go to Settings → Members (you need the manage_users permission to see this). Under Invite a teammate, enter their address in Email, choose a Role (every role except owner is offered), and click Send invite. The invite is emailed from the platform and expires after 7 days; the accept link is also shown on screen in case you would rather send it yourself. Pending invites appear below with a pending · [role] tag and a Revoke button. On the same tab, change anyone's role from its dropdown or click Remove next to them; you cannot remove yourself, and only an owner can remove another owner.

What you should see

The progress bar and the "N / 7 · X%" counter move up as you finish steps, with no page refresh needed if you complete something in another tab and come back. A finished step shows a green checkmark badge and its title in strikethrough grey with a done pill; an unfinished one shows a numbered badge. Sending an invite shows the new address in the pending list right away, with a status of pending · [role].

Common problems

  • A step you just finished still shows as not done: the checklist reflects live state, for example a domain has to actually exist for "Add a sending domain" to check off. Double check the action fully completed.
  • Campaign launch, dedicated servers, or domain purchase is blocked: your email address is not confirmed yet. Click Resend the link on the banner and check your inbox.
  • You are not in any workspace: ask a workspace admin to invite you, or click Create my own workspace.
  • An invited teammate never got the email: send them the accept link shown on screen as a manual fallback.
  • An invite is stuck at "pending": invites expire after 7 days on their own; revoke it and send a fresh one.

Common questions

What should I do first?

Buy domains, because they benefit from ageing and registrars rate-limit bulk registration. Everything else can be done while they sit. The single biggest scheduling mistake is leaving domain purchase until the copy is ready.

How long until I can send?

Three weeks to full volume. Domains, mailboxes and DNS are same-day; warm-up is two to three weeks. Plan the campaign start date backwards from that.

What is a workspace?

The boundary around one business's data: its domains, mailboxes, campaigns, leads and people. Agencies use one per client so nothing crosses between them.
