Client portal and support

The client's own view of the work, and how support requests are tracked.

Where this lives. Sign in and open /portal, /support in the app.

What it does

Two unrelated things share this page: a way to give one of your clients a live, branded results page with nothing to log in to, and your own line to emailcampaign.ai's support team, shown in the app as the Campaign Cloud team, when something is broken, unclear, or slow. The client portal is entirely one-way and read-only for the client. It never shows lead lists, message content, or anything beyond the campaigns you chose. Support is the opposite: a real conversation, with a person on the other end, that only you (not your client) can open.

Before you start

For a portal, you need at least one campaign to share. For support, nothing: anyone can open a ticket.

Set it up, step by step

Client portals (Settings → Clients):

  1. Click "New portal." Type the Client name and check the campaigns to share. Only non-archived campaigns are listed.
  2. Click "Create portal (N campaigns)." The list now shows that client with a Live pill.
  3. Click "Copy link" to get the /portal/<token> address to send them, "Preview" to see exactly what they'll see, or "Revoke" to disable the link immediately. Revoking doesn't delete the portal, it just stops the link from working.
  4. What they see, with no sign-in: your brand name, logo and accent colour at the top; five figures (Emails sent, Delivered, Open rate, Reply rate, Positive replies); and a card per shared campaign with its status (In preparation, Running, Paused, Completed, or Archived) and a 14-day sending sparkline.

Help & Support (/support):

  1. Click "New ticket." Answer "What is it about?" with a short subject, pick a Category (General question, Something is broken, Deliverability / bounces, Billing & plans, Account & access, or Feature request) and a Priority (Low, Normal, or High: "blocking my sending"), then describe it in Details and click "Open ticket."
  2. Your ticket appears in the list on the left with its status; click it to read the conversation on the right, type in the reply box, and click "Send reply." Replies also reach you by email at your account address.
  3. Click "Close ticket" when you're done; replying to a closed ticket reopens it. Once a ticket is resolved or closed, rate it one to five and add an optional comment.
  4. Guides, if any are published, and links to System status, Email preferences, and the legal pages sit at the bottom of the page. You can also email support@emailcampaign.ai directly; it opens a ticket the same way.

What you should see

A portal's row shows "Live" or "Revoked" and either "last viewed" with a timestamp or "not viewed yet." A ticket's status reads Open, Waiting for support, Support replied, Resolved, or Closed.

Common problems

Opening a revoked or mistyped portal link shows "This report link is invalid or has been revoked" to the client. Reissue a fresh link rather than trying to un-revoke the old one. "Create portal" stays disabled until you've named the client and checked at least one campaign. Support gives a general expectation, not a fixed SLA: "Typical first response is within a few business hours; urgent deliverability issues are looked at first." A client cannot open a support ticket themselves from the portal; there's nothing on that page to click.

Do clients need an account to open the portal?

Portal links carry their own access, so a client can open what you share without another password to lose.
