What it does
/recordings is the page the app (Campaign Cloud, per its own sidebar) calls Recordings in the left navigation (under Revenue). It has five tabs: Home, Library, Calendar, Action items, and Settings. /calls redirects to /reminders (itself an alias for /tasks): Call Studio for phone calls has not shipped yet, so /calls is currently a dead end. /meeting-intelligence has no page behind it at all today.
A recording can come from two places: the AI notetaker joining a synced calendar meeting (see Meetings and booking for connecting a calendar and setting the recording rule), or a file you import yourself from the Library tab's Import recording button. Clicking Record on an upcoming meeting only requests the recording; the toast tells you plainly: "Recording requested — approve it, then confirm consent." The notetaker joins as a visible participant and announces a consent notice in the meeting chat (the exact wording is set on the Settings tab); that announcement is stored as the consent evidence, and the recording is held until it exists.
Once a recording is ready, its meeting page shows the full transcript with speakers you can rename (the correction applies to the transcript, analytics, and downloads), an AI summary split into Overview (with a sentiment badge), Objections, and Buying signals, a Questions list, and a Talk time chart per speaker. Action items the AI drafted from the conversation appear with Approve and Dismiss; typed ones (like rescheduling the meeting or drafting a follow-up email) also get a Do it button that previews the effect before running it. Approved items show up in the Action items tab of Recordings and in Tasks. You can also select a moment in the transcript and turn it into a titled Clip, set to Team or Private visibility, with an optional copyable public link.
Before you start
- Viewing recordings, transcripts, and summaries needs the baseline "view dashboard" permission.
- Recording a meeting, approving or running action items, renaming speakers, and changing notetaker settings need the "manage meetings" permission.
- Permanently deleting a recording needs the "delete records" permission; anyone with "manage meetings" can move one to the trash, where it can be restored.
- A recording needs a Meet link on the calendar event and a recording policy that isn't disabled before Record will even show up as an option.
Set it up, step by step
- Click Recordings in the left navigation.
- On Home, check the "Notetaker" tile. If it says "Needs sign-in" or "Not set up," click Check readiness →, which opens the Settings tab.
- On Settings, pick a workspace-wide Recording rule (Off, every meeting with a video link, guests only, internal only, or only when you ask), set the notetaker's Display name and Consent notice, and optionally how many minutes early it joins. Click Save changes.
- Back on Home or the Calendar tab's Agenda, click Record on an upcoming meeting, or open the Library tab and use Import recording to upload a file instead.
- After the meeting, open it from Library (or the Home "Latest recordings" list) to read the transcript and AI summary.
- In Action items, click Approve to keep a suggestion as a task, Do it to run one that has a real action attached, or Dismiss to drop it.
- To pull an answer from across every recorded meeting instead of one, use Ask across meetings on the Home tab (per-meeting, it's Ask AI on that meeting's page).
What you should see
Library cards show a status badge (Ready, Processing, Scheduled, Failed, or Not recorded), plus small chips for Transcript, AI notes, and a task count once those exist. A recording still being processed shows that state instead of a transcript. The "Ask" panels label their answer "AI" when your workspace has a real AI key configured, or "no AI key" when it is answering in a simulated mode (see AI and copilot). The Consent & retention panel on a meeting page shows "Consent recorded" with the notice text, or "Consent missing" until the notetaker's announcement is captured. A retention date, if one is set, is labeled informational only: recordings stay until you delete them.
Common problems
- Record doesn't appear on a meeting. It has no Meet link, its recording policy is disabled, or it is already being recorded.
- A recording is stuck on "Scheduled" or shows "Consent missing." The notetaker has not joined or announced consent yet; it will not start recording until it does.
- You can't find the recording you deleted. Open Recently deleted on the Library tab and click Restore; nothing is removed permanently from that screen. A permanent delete needs the "delete records" permission.
- /calls or /meeting-intelligence goes nowhere useful. Both are placeholders in the current build; use Recordings for meeting work and Tasks for anything call-related today.

Common questions
Do I need consent to record?
That depends on where you and the other participants are, and in several places consent from everyone is required. Ask at the start of the call and note the answer.
